Hop-On An Epic Mountain Biking Trail On Top of a Mesa

Guacamole Trailhead is one of the best mountain biking trails in the greater Zion area and has been a destination for mountain biking enthusiasts for decades. Enjoy easy access to this trail by continuing on Dalton Wash Road another half mile from the resort. The views are spectacular – almost like you’re touching the West Temple and Mount Kinesava in Zion National Park. The Pine Valley Mountains on the west side of St. George are also gorgeous. The trail also takes you near a distinguished cinder cone.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a mountain bike. There are plenty of rental places around the Zion region that specialize in true mountain bikes or ebikes. Remember to ask whoever you choose to rent from if they will deliver and pickup bikes to wherever you want to start and end your ride.

BE CLOSE WITH NATURE, NOT THE CROWDS

Zion is one of the most visited national parks in the United States and consistently draws over 4 million visitors each year. Accommodations in Springdale or even off the highway leading into Zion means you’ll be a part of the crowd.

Open Sky is only 15 miles from the main entrance of Zion National Park but is off the beaten track. You are a short drive to the park, restaurants, shopping, and adventures but can retreat and enjoy your own sanctuary after a fun day of exploration.
